PROJECT
SAVE THE CHAPEL
Start by doing what's necessary;
then do what's possible; and
suddenly you are doing the impossible.
- St. Francis of Assisi

LOCATED NEAR THE HEART of downtown Flagstaff, Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel is a prominent historic building and unique regional icon. Over the years, the exterior decorative concrete has severely decayed. Interior water damage and aging stained glass windows also require immediate and long-term repair.

IN SPITE OF ADVANCING DETERIORATION, the church appears solid to the casual observer, and the need for immediate intervention goes generally unnoticed. On closer examination, extensive decay is readily apparent.

THE SCOPE OF RESTORATION IS SIGNIFICANT. Assessment and restoration by firms with expertise in historic masonry, slate roofs, and stained glass windows is essential to preserve this treasure of architecture, workmanship, and design. With broad-based community support and your help, we can save this cherished Flagstaff landmark... READ MORE: An ICON at RISK
